The black shorts feel a bit thicker than the gray ones, but I'm not certain that's not imaginary. The drawstrings and the flexible elastic waistband make the shorts secure without binding. The pockets, both front, are deep and convenient. The shorts' legs are loose without being ridiculously wide
They're a good compromise between sleep/day wear which sometimes might feel like you're either showing too much (via an open front flap, which these don't have btw) or wearing something more suited for heavy yardwork.
A great price too.
